On May 10,  2011 Gateway PGA Professionals in conjunction with the Gateway PGA Foundation, started a junior golf program for the patients of Ranken Jordan.  Since day 1 this program has been an incredible success story.  The children have enjoyed weekly clinics conducted by PGA Professionals and have even spent afternoons on the driving range at Glen Echo Country Club!  Throughout the winter months the children will continue to work on their golf games with weekly clinics in the indoor recreation area known as "Warner's Corner", named after Super Bowl quarterback Kurt Warner (First Things First Foundation).

Golf Marathon's impact on Ranken Jordan

Ranken Jordan will use the funds raised from Golf Day Marathon to support a Community Program, a free recreational and educational program for over 2,500 children of all abilities and their families.  It's designed to promote healthy development of physical, cognitive, vocational and social skills in an inclusive environment for toddlers through teens.  We constantly strive to provide innovative ways to engage children and stimulate their growth.  Our programs also offer parents a break while their kids play at Ranken Jordan.  Some examples of programs are sports, cooking, music, fitness, and games.  With the help of the Gateway PGA Foundation and Gateway PGA Professionals, Ranken Jordan is the first to offer a year around junior golf program that has attracted media interest from KSDK (NBC) and the St Louis Post-Dispatch.
