Dear Friends,

I am going to run a marathon my way - on the golf course!  On -ENTER CHOSEN DATE-, I will be conducting an all-day golf marathon at -ENTER FACILITY NAME- to raise money for the Southern Texas PGA Foundation and its programs, including the STPGA Academy Sports + Outdoors Junior Golf Program, funds for scholarships for students pursuing a college education and the Dick Harmon Participation Scholarship.  I will be joined by other PGA Professionals who will playing at courses throughout south Texas to raise money for the Foundation.

The STPGA Foundation’s mission is to introduce and provide youth in Southern Texas broad opportunities to experience the game of golf, develop their talent as players and themselves as individuals and promote scholarship benefits to as many qualified candidates as possible.  The STPGA Foundation will uphold the high degree of professionalism necessary to motivate young men and women to strive for personal integrity, honor and ideals.

This year, the STPGA Foundation Golf Marathon will not only benefit the STPGA Foundation, but local charities as well.  Each golf professional who participates in the marathon will select a local charity that will benefit in addition to the STPGA Foundation.  I have selected -ENTER LOCAL CHARITY-.  The Foundation will receive 70 percent of the funds raised and the remaining 30 percent will be donated, by the Foundation, to -ENTER LOCAL CHARITY-.

Pledges can be made by assigning a monetary amount to a category such as the number of holes played, birdies and eagles made and rounds under par.  For example, if you pledge $1.00 per hole and the professional plays 100 holes, your donation will be $100.00.  You may also choose to make a flat donation in lieu of a pledge.  All pledges and donations are 100% tax deductible and will be acknowledged by the STPGA Foundation.
