The Aloha Section PGA Foundation

In 2003, 260 members and apprentices of the Aloha Section PGA reaffirmed their commitment to the game by creating the Aloha Section PGA Foundation. The purpose of the Aloha Section PGA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and the philanthropic arm of the Aloha Section PGA, is to develop and promote interest in the game of golf while enhancing the lives of those that participate.  Core values such as honesty, respect, integrity, courtesy and perseverance are reinforced through Foundation programs.  The perpetuation of these core values also will preserve the history of golf in the State of Hawaii.

The Foundation helps perpetuate the game of golf in Hawai`i by providing:

  • Junior golf programs
  • Scholarships for higher education
  • Community outreach programs
  • Golf instructional programs
  • Research and education
  • Growth of the Game
  • Play Golf America
  • PGA Golf Day

The Aloha Section PGA Foundation also contributes to the community and charities such as the ASPGA Japan Tsunami Relief Fund and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii.

The Aloha Section PGA Foundation continues to preserve the history and grow the game of golf in Hawaii through its programs for young individuals. With many opportunities on behalf of the Aloha Section PGA Foundation, creating interest with the game of golf is of major importance. Through this, the Foundation seeks to interest golf and touch all people regardless of socio-economic stature, ethnicity, or gender.
