Impacting Kentucky Lives....Through Golf

Through our Youth Pillar, we seek to improve and advance opportunities for youth. By exposing kids early to the game of golf, we help plant a love of the game that has proven to provide great opportunities in the areas of education, health and wellness and character building centered on the sport of golf.

Examples of Programming Include:

  • Learn, Play, Compete (LPC) is our initiative to introduce youth to the game of golf in schools, teach it after school on the links and create opportunities for them to compete regardless of their age, gender or skill level.

  • In partnership with Blessings in a Backpack, we provided underprivileged kids meals on weekends to ensure they are properly nourished so they can succeed in school.

2020 Goal is to have 50 golf facilities adopting a local school to feed a minimum of 5,000 underprivileged kids and introducing the game of golf to the entire school population.

Through our Military Pillar, we seek to improve the physical, mental, and social rehabilitation of our military heroes and their families through the game of golf. The lifetime game of golf has proven not only to be a recreation, but rehabilitation tool and allows our military to assimilate back into their community through the social interaction the game provides.

Examples of Programming Include:

  • PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is a free year-round golf program by PGA Professionals designed to provide our military heroes with access to the lifetime sport of golf.

  • In partnership with USA Cares, we assist Kentucky military families in crisis through indirect-support grants.

2020 Goal is to have 12 PGA HOPE Chapters across the Commonwealth serving over 500 military heroes and funding over $50,000 in indirect-support grants to military families in crisis.

Through our Diversity Pillar, we strive to create a culture to make golf make inclusive of people from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds and for individuals with disabilities. It is our quest to look through a lens of diversity and inclusion at all times and collaborate with those who champion diversity and inclusion.

Examples of Programming Include:

  • Don Fightmaster Outing for Exceptional Children

  • To further support diversity and inclusion, we are interested in examining future opportunities to make golf inclusive.

Our 2020 Goal is to collaborate with multiple organizations who champion diversity and inclusion.
